Off Roading in Nottinghamshire / South Yorkshire area
Guys,
I am looking for some advice of where is best to try some off road action in the Nottinghamshire / South Yorkshire area ideally not too tricky as I'm new and also not looking to damage my pride and joy lol.
Cheers Bri

Hi Bri
Welcome to the forum. I'm not far from you (Worksop), but I've not found anything worth looking at locally. If I find anything I'll gladly let you know.

Lockwell Hill off road course, located where the A614 and A617 cross, the army used to train there a few years back and they allowed spectators, I went round on a LRE day with a F2 and a FFRR they hire quads out on a separate course, paintball etc.
You can always join the Buxton Ice Fest they are not a 100 miles away lol:It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Last time we looked at Lockwell, they insisted that you took an instructor in the vehicle, and paid for the privilege. Quite a few green lanes out Bakewell/Buxton way which are not too far from you.
Not much worth looking at in Notts though.
I'll upload a couple I did early this year. There are two rules for success,

OK, you need to download the zip file from my gallery here:-
These lanes were passable and listed on the Trailwise database in April 2015.
I have a few more from a weekend I did at the beginning of October. There are two rules for success,

I visited Lockwood hill a few times when I owned my D2, back then the site was run by Lee James.
Not been for a while now as you can only go round in their vehicles at least that was what I was told when I contacted them a few years ago.
Lee James also had another site nearby called the 'Activity centre', much the same as this one, but it had a paintball area as well. I'm not sure who runs this site now.

Elkesley
Quite a few people off roading in Elkesley but not recommended as the locals and police are reporting them and section 59 notices are being issued.
Keep away from this area

As always keep it legal. Those Section 59s are probably well deserved if illegal off roading taking place...Visitor from fullfatrr.com
