but no, as what I believe to be an iOS 8 issue is not, my iPhone with iOS 8 works absolutely fine with it.

I've used 9.1 to upload and not had an issue,
9.1 on iphone 6+
(edit 9.1 not 8.1!)26 and on the 4th LR..

Beanie and I did some debugging of this last night and we have made some progress.
It seems that this kind of issue would be expected in private browsing mode, but I am assured that this is happening in "normal" mode too.
Beanie is on the night shift to help with this, but is there anyone who is having this problem who can help during the day?

Faultless in normal browsing, and even uploads in Private browsing mode, just needs a work around to retain uploaded images in Private which if I understand correctly Martin is looking at Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Glad to have made progress, huge thanks to Greg for testing this for me.
What is happening is that, for some reason, the browser on iOS is not accepting the use of "local storage".
This is basically a really simple database in the browser which I use during uploads to store the list of uploaded files, so it persists across page changes.
iOS Safari is supposed to support this 100%
Apparently this problem normally happens if the browser is in "private" mode (dark grey bars top and bottom of browser instead of silver/white) but it can occasionally happen in normal mode for no good reason.
Anyway, I have worked with Greg to replace the local storage when there is a problem to give an alternative, but it does not persist with page changes.
There are ways around that, but it will need some more coding and testing.
