Urgent enquiry 1000's of miles from home
I need some advice.
Prior to leaving the UK to drive to Croatia I had the D3 serviced.
Just noticed that 678miles ago my service wotsit showed itself along with a clock icon and the number 180.
I'm now crapping myself and wondering wtf to do.
Nearest LR specialist appears to be in Sarajevo that's 6 hours away.
No issues or noises or anything out of the ordinary but still a little concerned.
How long can I go after the service notification comes up and what's with the clock?

It sounds as if they have forgotten to reset the service interval indicator. This happened to me while I was in Scotland, and I've put over a 1000 miles on since the indicator flashed up. I don't think the car will suddenly stop. If all is ok, I wouldn't worry about it. But that is just my opinion, and others may have a completely different view.
Cheers
John

I think you can reset a 2005 service indicator manually

Managed to contact dealer. Explained situation. They DEFINATELY reset the service indicator. When I asked wh it was displaying they said they had no idea and that I should get it to a dealership. I'm on the coast of Montenegro ffs!www.ratsnruins.co.uk

^^Like Narpy says, its only a service reminder and your dealer is saying they 'did' reset it but do they really know? I doubt it! Don't worry about it, you will be fine!

Can you post a photo of it, so we know we're all on the same hymn sheet. It does sound as though it's just the service schedule reminder

Nothing to worry about at all. The service reminder is just a dumb alarm clock that has zero knowledge of your engine health. There is no need to rush off to a dealer.
