Rear ac still works to my knowledge? I guess this is something to do with the pipe work to the rear ac then? Should it be joined like this ? And what is the green stuff and I take it ,it shouldn't be weeping/leaking ? What can I do?blessed are the losers ,for they determine the winners

Thanks mike, has this been joined for some reason or is this a standard feature . Anyway I can fix this?blessed are the losers ,for they determine the winners
It needs new seals, but you need the gasses removing, then seals then recharge , or, live without AC in the rear two seats Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Who ever degases you AC system will have the correct o-ring they are standard sizes..
The green colour is the dye that is added to oil for leak detection with an ultra violet lamp
Make sure they vac out the system before re gassing

No that is normal the aluminium flanges terminate the pipe .the pipe work is made up of several of these joints as it would not be economical to make it in one piece . As said over time the seals deteriorate and leak .You're not afraid of the dark are you ?

May not be the seals (or only the seals ) - the allu pipes corrode and pin hole. Replaced my pipes some 4 years ago.

If you can source the seals, I can remove the gas and re-charge etc for you.
