D4 6 speed 2nd gear slip?

Had a check about the forum for an occasional slip that the D4 has in 2nd gear but cannot find any real conclusions.

It only seems to happen when towing and it is between 2-2500rpm on light/medium throttle, the revs rise to 2500 then the speed will catch up and it will carry on normally from that point, it only happens in 2nd and only between the rev range above, in command shift it is the same, almost as like going back to a TD5 auto it is that apparent.

Now I know these engines produce a rude amount of torque so wondered if it was as a dampening design over a failure beginning, but now I'm not so sure!!

Anyone else's D4 have traits such as this?

Mileage is 72k btw with full LR history
D4 XS Fuji white, leccy seats, armrests, dog guard, camera, rse, basically a HSE but without sunroofs Smile
Gone Sad my beloved D2 ES "Tara", niagra grey, DVD, General Grabber AT2s, pro sport wheels, facelift "A" bar, oasis side steps, dog guard, de-egr'd.

Torque converter giving up the ghost, if your doing a lot of towing best get the gearbox flushed and see what it's like after that.
