Battery Earth Point ?
Im trying to connect my earth lead from a winch to the battery ...unfortunaltly the earth is just a silly clip ( not like the live which has a tapped 8mm post for you to use )
The earth from the battery only goes about 8 inch's straight to the car body ...however it looks like i need to take the fuse box, next to the battery, out to get to it
Is this the best place ?
Should i just connect to any earth point ?
And if so is it best to do this as close as i can to the winch ?
ThanksG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

The best option is to drill & tap the battery connector...
Take it to the main earth terminal on the body, the BJB comes out easily, just take out the bolt at the front of it and slide rearwards to release the clips
Don't earth it near the winch mount, firstly it'll corrode and secondly the resistance of steel is higher than that of copper which will lead to volt drop and the winch motor overheating

All the wires going into it can make it a bit difficult to move out of the slots, though it will move IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
