Sunroof blind not latching
MY14 HSE with the sunroof.
3rd row sunroof blind does not, and never has been able to stay latched onto the roof catch properly. Slightest bump in the road sees it spring open.
1st and 2nd row roof blinds are much more secure.
Is it something to do with the flex in the rear headlining at the rear?
Dealers had a look under warranty and couldn't see any way to resolve.
Any ideas?

i have same problem when i go over a bump.
had a good look at it and don't think the catch mechanism is up to much.
since pushing headlining up in area of catch it hasn't happened since but that could just be coincidence.XC90 T8 R Design Pro

My 2nd and 3rd row blinds do this in my D3 so I'm going to try the idea described in the post linked below. Someone else on here lost a rubber stopper on the catch in the headlining and the catch bracket got bent so replacing the stopper and bending the catch sorted them out. Going to try some draught-excluder tape first.

Obviously a common fault as mine does it as well but only on 3rd row. Scared the **** out of me first time it did it!
@Hairy Dan. I think we both bought from the same dealer so if you manage to get the problem sorted properly could you let us know the fix, please.

My D3 is the same on the 2nd and 3rd row, looks like something has bent or broke on the catches?

Not had the problem on my D4, but I did have the same problem on rows 2 and 3 with my D3, the roof glass had just been replaced too.
When I had a look a trim clip on one side of the catch (2nd and 3rd row) hadn't been pushed home properly - when I did this the sunroof blinds stayed in position.

An update. Ended up just spending some time jiggling and generally manhandling the headlining and the clip - I think with a finger poked in there somehow - and the blind has stayed in place for the last month!
