Yes I could and in fact I already look into it. But I don't think I will because:
Cost is 1500, excess is 500. I will get £1000 now, but despite I have a claim protection policy, it will affect my records very badly for the next 5 years. I own 3 motorbikes on a multibike policy and I drive my wife's car. In 5 years i will end up paying way more than £1000...

In the end, after speaking with anyone possible around the globe as far as Land Rover is concerned...I had to pay!
Gutted...but what shall I say? A had a good lesson and I will double check the depth of muddy paddles in the future.
I am now in Italy after 1000 miles done very smoothly. The car is great!
