If the Air Suspension Compressor and Air Suspension Control Valve were broken by impact whilst on a public highway ("Legal Lane") then is there a chance that you are covered by your insurance?

Yes I could and in fact I already look into it. But I don't think I will because:

Cost is 1500, excess is 500. I will get £1000 now, but despite I have a claim protection policy, it will affect my records very badly for the next 5 years. I own 3 motorbikes on a multibike policy and I drive my wife's car. In 5 years i will end up paying way more than £1000...

I spoke to LR UK Warrenty service yesterday. They say that according to the pictures that Williams Service DPT sent to them the ammount of mud lodge in the compressor and around mean that the car was missed used and therefore not a direct primary mechanical failure but a consequence.

In the end, after speaking with anyone possible around the globe as far as Land Rover is concerned...I had to pay!
Gutted...but what shall I say? A had a good lesson and I will double check the depth of muddy paddles in the future.

I am now in Italy after 1000 miles done very smoothly. The car is great!

Thank you so much for your help.
