Anybody got any SONOS speakers that don't get the use they deserve, please?
Quite fancy a pair of PLAY:1's but might also consider a PLAY:5 or a PLAY:3 if the price is right.
Thanks,

I don't have any kit to sell - but I'm always happy to see one or both of you.
Maybe a glass under the vines, when the weather's right.

C'mon Nigel, not like you to not have a 'good deal' on something to tempt us all to part with yet more money on SONOS

I just struck a deal with a bloke on Gumtree for a brand new, unboxed, SONOS PLAY:1 for £120 (RRP £169).
SONOS were doing a special offer on these recently (it's now ended) where you could buy two PLAY:1s for £299. I wouldn't be surprised if they run this offer again once they announce support for Apple Music later this year (presumably before everybody's 3 month free trial expires).

Just make sure you understand the limitations of the PlayBar in terms of connectivity. It is 'optical' only - no HDMI, DIN or phono.
If you want to better your experience with multiple signal sources (DVD, BluRay, Satellite etc) you will need to use a switching box with HDMI / optical convertor such as this.

Using happyily with my Sonos soundbar. If you go for the sub - make sure your house foundations are robust!

Ah yes, I've been through the mill with a whole bunch of different set ups using Amps and such.
Now that I get most of my movies direct thru the smart TV, I feel it's time to simplify.
I think the Sonos gear, looks and sounds great. I like its 'expandability' too! 07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

Mine was only £30 and works a treat - not sure I'd be able to warrant the extra £150 or so

Care required though - most Smart TV's only pass stereo (no 5.1 or above) via their optical output. That's the issue I had hence the need for the switch.

Agree that £30 sounds better but I had a number of legacy issues that required extra audio inputs.
Sonos is the bees knees as far I am concerned and has solved so many (sounds around the house) issues. Only nonsense was their giving away free bridges. Any one want a free (Sonos) bridge (now no longer required btw) let me know.
