Depending on your needs I recommend the sub'
I was uuhming and aahing over the soundbar for the lounge but hardly ever in there and not into 'cinema experience' sounds on TV, etc. so decided to get sub' for in the open plan kitchen/diner/TV area where most of our listening is done.
First impressions were it's big and heavy.....
Hooked it all up (Play5 and 4x Play 1's in area) and initially was a tad disappointed, couldn't really detect much 'ooomph'. You can flick the sub' on and off in settings so could hear a bit of difference that way so it was 'working' but still underwhelmed.
Then went into the individual sub settings and played around from the factory set 'middle-for-everything' and then that did make a difference
It's sat on solid concrete floor but cranked up to spinal-tap level 11 with a bass heavy track and the house is vibrating, you can 'feel' it upstairs in the furthest away room. It shakes all of SWMBO's 'best china' loose in the display cabinet in the same room
So when the stepson has no qualms about waking me up in the middle of the night and is in bed all day (he lives 'flip' hours; up all night, bed all day) not my fault if there are some stompin' chunes on the wireless that need 'turning up a bit' is it
