Just thought I would share this experience for anyone else in the Aberdeen area.
I just had my rear brake pads replaced by Mann Automotove in Laurencekirk. I didn't fancy driving to the Lakes just to get Lakelend to do it - especially since I was down to the metal
Whilst this was being done I got them to do an interim oil change too. The genuine LR brake pads were supplied by myself (£35 from Greenbank 4x4 in Aberdeen) and the bill from Mann Automotive was £95 inc VAT.
Everyone at Mann Automotive and Greenbank 4x4 are ex-franchised mechanics from Town & County LR in Aberdeen and their combined experience is about 200 years of nothing but Land-Rover.
Just a recap then, that's 6lts of Shell semi-synthetic and labour to change rear pads and do the oil change for £95 inc VAT. Read-em and weep....... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Synthetic is basically better for your engine, I think worth spending the extra on. Rather than me quote loads have a look for yourself on GoogleThe End
