Need cigar lighter socket to be "live" when igniti

Hi,

HI, I'm a bit of a technophobe.

I need the cigar lighters to be live when the ignition is turned off and the car is locked in order that my dash cam still works. Is this something simple I can do or is it best left to a professional?

I've seen this post http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic60079.html but I really don't want to set my lovely car alight through ignorance! Is it really this easy.

Car is Disco4 HSE Lux, 62 plate.

Thanks in advance

Yes it's that easy, you'll be replacing the ingnition controlled relay that applies power to to 12v sockets, they are still protected by a fuse Thumbs Up

It's a Next Base 402G. Have to say I'm very impressed with it. Worth spending the extra on. The video quality is excellent and the sound too.
