I carelessly smashed my left mirror against a pillar the other day. Prepared for this kind of thing, I took out my reserve mirror that I kept in my car, and after some infuriating moments I managed to get the mirror on. Unfortunately the new mirror does not seem to be convex like the old one and appear to have a narrower FoV so I now need to get a convex mirror.
Looking at previous threads there are references to LR017070 as the correct replacement part, however, one website showed this was superceded by the newer LR017047. Could someone advise whether I should be going for LR017047? I am hoping that the new one may have a improved design which makes it easier to attach and with less bloodshed, but I also do not want to waste money if this does not fit onto my MY06. I would also add that, in case these are relevant, that my mirror has heating, and probably has "memory" although I am not quite sure what this means.
