MOT time

Hi all it's that dreaded time of the year.
My 2007 D3 2.7 just failed on wishbone arms, 2 lower front and 1 upper rear. Big Cry
I have asked local garage to do both rear uppers considering that both are originals I guess and have covered the same 119K miles. It's going to cost around £1000 to get done but considering the age its not so bad I guess Big Cry Big Cry
Is there anything else I should get done whilst mechanic doing these, are there any other bushes etc that could be replaced Confused
Many thanks

Mines same age and mileage as yours and I've recently had the following :

Rear upper suspension arms
Rear drop links
Front upper suspension arms
Front lower suspension arms
Front drop links
Front L&R control arms
Front v8 brake upgrade
Front ARB bushes

Smooth ride now 8)

Roughly £1700 including a 4 wheel alignment. Bought the parts myself from Advanced Factors and Mick (Flack) fitted. Thumbs Up

Mick (Flak) just did my belts, oil and water pump.
If I had know at the time that I needed this work I would have asked Mick. Would have had to find alternative to staying in Blackpool for weekend though, we traveled up and whilst Mick did work we took opportunity for a break and stayed in Blackpool, phew, chips, chips and more chips Laughing

It's a heavy job - Mick had his son to help. Mine didn't fail MOT but were advisories. Hadn't realised how bad it was - felt like a new motor when finished. Thumbs Up

Around £100. Anyone with Hunter equipment is best. I used Quickfit Embarassed Did a good job though - the lad looked as though he wasn't old enough to buy cigarettes but seemed knowledgeable.
