What next?

Guys,

Had the disco since new and it currently has 64k on. For the last 12 months the car has been making all sorts of noises. The tracking went out and I had the steering joints replaced about 15k ago. It seemed better for a while but now it's pretty bad again. The car when turning in feels like it's going to flip at a certain point.

So I ordered all the parts, top arms/bottom, front rear, control arms, hub knuckle bushes, arb's and poly bushes. All genuine parts to the tune of £1100.

Got them fitted yesterday for £300 and tracked today and what a difference. Feels like a new car!

Had the gearbox flushed last week from the forum yearly outing and again what a difference, much smoother.

I've had all the maintance done with the yearly service's with LR inc belts, tensioners etc.

Question is, what else do I need to be looking out for now at nearly 10 years old and 64k miles.

We like the old girl and having her from new makes us want to her for another 10 years.

Any advice would be great.

Cheers Paul

Also had mine from new and is about the same age and mileage (67k). I think you have done all you can for the time being. I'm going to keep an eye on the brake pipes (mainly the rear )for corrosion, as these seem to go earlier than 10 yrs old quite often + regular eng oil/filter changes / other service items, and drive train component oil changes at more frequent intervals than LR recommend Whistle , and then deal with anything else that crops up really, ( there are bound to be other things Laughing ).

If it's going to be a keeper, get her professionally waxoyled. Rot will kill her and having this done takes rot out of the equation.

I used Rustmasters at Hatfield and can recommend them.
