Mysterious Clip Found In Footwell

Does anybody know what this clip might be for? It's not very big, 2p next to it for scale.

I found it in the driver's footwell the other day. I had a good look but couldn't see where it might have come from and it looks quite new and un-used.

I'm guessing that it's not the Jesus Clip as the car's still in one piece and working Laughing

Thanks.

one of the many clips used to hold the H trim in place (amongst others) nothing to worry about, put it in the spares box....

Now that is very odd indeed.

Usually when these trim clips ping off they hide and are never seen again. So much so I keep a bag of them handy.

It is rare to find one in the wild.

That particular clip holds vent trim on passenger side and possibly other trims too.
I removed passenger side vent and spent 10min working out how to put it back in to the dash. By that time we were best friends.

Thanks for the quick replies.

A rare thing indeed, I'll look after it and it I find that I can return it to its natural habitat then I will.

I supspect it is one of the two clips which hold the rigid rectangular panel in the drivers footwell between the steering wheel and the pedals. If you pull the top edge down to remove it (as if was hinged along the bottom edge) it will pop open and it is quite common for one of these two clips to come off its plastic lug. It should just push on again. If it's not from there, send it to me because I have lost one Very Happy

That's one of the clips used to fix the various dash and other internal panels in place. Very often when removing any of the panels these clips fly off in all directions. Hold on to this one for your bound to find one missing at some time.
