"is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick"
That is best line I ever heard in a radio play. I was having a leisurely drive from Dundee to Queens View many years ago and started listening to a cowboy western play on the radio. All the actors spoke with very broad Scottish accents and I'd never seen or heard a cowboy film or play with a Scottish accent which made it 'interesting'. Anyhow, lines like "Put ye hands up" etc began to make me smile and I nearly went off the road when one of the cowboys said " It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick ".
John Wayne never had it so easy.
So, question... on the GAP website it says 'Firmware upgrades are completed via the internet / USB and are free of charge for one year after the date of purchase', does that mean after 12 months the updates cost and if so how much? The End

Correct, that would be from the date of purchase. This text as been in the manual for a while now and is aimed at the professional tools. Our intention is to keep it free for the individual users. I will change the text in the user manual and website.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Whilst that statement has been on the site for ages I don't think they have actually started to charge for updates.

just saying.MY15 D4 SDV6 HSE Corris Grey - Gone
MY05 D3 TDV6 SE Zambezi silver Auto Alpaca leather - Gone
MY02' Seat Leon 1.6s Metallic Black cloth trim with a hint of mould
Thanks Pat, another question, answer may be one your site but I'm being lazy.... From what I can see apart from the unlocked licensing the only difference between the Pro & BT is the extra memory on the Pro for firmware storage. How many vehicles can the BT support (assuming licences were added for all)?
And finally (probably)... can licenses be transferred to a different vehicle - so if I changed from a D3 to a RRS would I have to by an additional license for the RRS or would I be able to 'unlicense' the D3 and reuse the license on the RRS (for a nominal admin fee maybe)? The End

Moving the tool from one vehicle to another supported vehicle (eg D3 to RRS2) is £25, but I believed this is waived if the tool stays with the same owner. If you wanted the D3 and the RRS2 it would be £60 to have both registered to the tool at the same time.
Even if not licensed to a new VIN it still has full diagnostics and code reading on any supported model.
