My tight inner nuts!!
Hi all,
Trying to replace my track rod ends and inner rods but I'm struggling to loosen the inner rod on the offside.
I've got some grips on the 'ball' which is smooth unfortunately and I'm trying to move it anti clockwise.
Am I doing the right thing? Any tips to get it to undo??
Cheers,
Chris... still learning )

Yeah that's what I hoped. I've got stilsons but they are just cheap, £5, from toolstation and not sure if they are up for the job or if it's just me .. still learning )

I used a pile wrench with a short section of tube over the handle for extra leverage. The new ones had flats on so much easier to tighten securely.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

There is no substitute for extra inches.
Or something.

it was definitely the extra inches and and tighter grip that made it far more pleasurable to play with .. still learning )
