Morning everyone
Seems like there's some confusion
The original idea is that the sticker would go on the outside of the rear window glass as in the mock-up on Nigel's Disco ( www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=674#674 ). This means that you're not putting stickers on the paintwork (there's not a great deal of space anyway).
I hadn't thought about sticking them on the inside of the glass, but this is quite a good option as it could go anywhere in the rear window (like just above the parked wiper on in the top of the window, and is less exposed inside I can get both types, so it's probably down to personal preference unless there's agreement over one type?
The stickers will be individual vinyl letters with no background to them (not transparent, just not there!)
Could someone give me an idea of what size would look good? Obviously not having a Disco is becoming a problem I'm currently thinking that about 30mm high would be ok, and matched to the DISCOVERY badge font.. i.e. something a bit like this:
Hope some of this makes sense, sorry again for the confusion!

Right then
This is the list of interest and choices I've got so far. Any more takers for the first set? For those who have skipped straight to this post, there's a mockup of the sticker here
Those without colours could they let me know, ditto if you want more or fewer.
The colour options are (I've taken an executive decision ):
Dark Grey
Silver
Orange
I think they are going to be 'stick on inside' type - i.e. you apply them to the inside of the glass, unless you tell me otherwise (i.e. you have privacy glass and don't think it'll be visible through the glass!)
Still waiting on a quote, will get back with prices ASAP. Payment will probably be via PayPal (or similar) for convenience, or I'll take cheques etc etc.
That's all for now

Martin,
I'd still like 2 please.
1 in the similar colour to the Land Rover bonnet badge
and
1 in the Orange !. What the hell eh.
I've got privacy glass but i'm sure if the silver/grey doesn't work, the Orange will !!.
Cheers for organising this.....
Steven.

For comparison, I thought some of you might be interested in seeing another car forum's stickers (VolvoXC.com) with photos by members. This topic generated 13 pages of discussion! See: http://www.volvoxc.com/forums/showthread.p...t=stickers

Hi Martin, I'm not sure grey or silver, so I'd better have one of each!

OK, latest sign-up sheet is as follows:
Stickers are looking like being about £2 ish each, still need to confirm they can be done in the correct font. Look out for the actual price on Monday....
Gareth, you have a private message to ask you what colours you're after
Any more takers?
Will probably freeze the first 'batch' when I have a final price that is ok (I'm assuming that less than £3 each is alright with everyone?) and get them ordered on Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning. I'll then send out invoices, and sort out payment methods.
Can't wait to see a Discovery with a DISCO3.CO.UK sticker on it

Martin,
Your a star ! Not many site runners would go to this trouble - especially as they don't yet drive a D3 ! - maybe we should club together as a thanks
As long as they are under a fiver each and are easily applied I'm happy.
Be great to zoom up to the next D3 I see on the road and see the badge of honour !
take care,

Ok chaps, I hope this is up to date:
As I've not heard from anyone to the contrary, I'm getting quotes for internal stickers (stick to inside of glass so they can't be removed from outside).
Have (or will very shortly) send everyone who's signed up a private message to confirm
Oh, and should finally have prices very soon! (sorry for the delay in getting a final price)
