Engine problems.

Our 59 plate discovery 4 was in garage last week. The fuel gauge has been reading zero, so put it in to get it repaired. This is the second time it's failed, however garage knew about recall and ordered part. Epb failed for second time also, this was narrowed down to a wire and not whole unit thankfully. Getting work done by independent dealer. Anyway needed car back in a hurry and they wouldn't have bits in on time so picked it up Wednesday and booked it in again for this Wednesday when bits would be in. We only have one car and live in country and wife needs to get around with 2 young children.

Fast forward to Saturday, car started juddering and eventually cut out on country road losing steering etc. it will now start runs rough idle and if any load put on engine, ie move it cuts out again.

It's done the rough running before and I ve put it in sports mode and drove it like I stole it and it's cured it.

Any ideas? I thought I had read before that the d4 will automatically cut out if fuel gauge reads low to save bleeding etc to get it started again. Could it be related to investigative work garage did? New parts not on yet.

I'm a satisfied d4 owner. Hasn't been any bother apart from epb, and fuel gauge, shame the same thing gone wrong twice. It's done 71k miles.
