In a similar vein ... when I leave my door windows open and it's raining ...the inside of the motor gets soaked ...must be a design fault 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I get your sarcasm but...
It's not just raining in - on mine, all of the water collected on the open tailgate is channelled and literally pours down both sides because of the design. This waterfall doesn't just splash on the tailgate strut, it runs directly onto the interior carpet.
If the design of the roof meant rain water poured onto the drivers seat every time you opened the door, would that be OK? 2005 D3 HSE

Mine does this all the time. Water lands on the plastic just inside the lower tailgate and if left, would result in very soggy carpet in the rear. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Digging up and resurrecting an old one.
Mine funnelled about 1/2 pint in today before I noticed. I had to use kitchen towel as a wick to take the water across the gap to the body.
Has anyone found a fix for this? Is the D4 design different? Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Depends on the angle it is parked when you open it had it happen once to me but other times it has missed the interior. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
