Overspeed Warning

Now I have my Settings Menu (fitted the missing bits last week) I thought I'd try the Overspeed Warning...

Seemed to work great on the way to Rockingham but I noticed that it has now stopped warning me when I reach the set speed.

Anyone else experienced this ?

I've found that if you raise your speed slowly it will bong when you reach the warning speed, and again when you slow down and hit the same speed again. - very anoying if Cruise Control is set to the speed warning value as it will keep bonging as it floats around the set speed.

However.... If you go hammering past the speed it does seem that sometime it doesn't bong and warn you you've gone outside the boundry.

So does that mean if we chip our cars the bong will be left behind Very Happy

simon, I do not have the settings menu, TDV6 SE (Ausie spec), standard radio with no steering wheel controls. Do I understand that parts can be fitted to get into the settings menu????? Rolling Eyes

My 'S' has all the parts... steering wheel controls for stereo and cruise control, 'i' button on left column stalk and hi line Message Centre. Only thing missing was the memory seat module and LR finally admitted that it should have been fitted and was sent to dealer for fitting.

All menu's present now. Memory Module must have completed the circuit or something so they could get Test Book to enable the driver personalisation feature.

Not sure if its standard on export cars though and if it is at what spec.

The Ausie spec SE does not have the steering wheel radio controls although it does have CC and the message centre. Sad I suppose thats what I get for ordering the car 5 months before it's release date in Aus.. In hindsite I would have got an HSE..

Winger will correct me I am sure, but most out of EU are one spec lower but with the same badge. i.e: SE in the UK is the same as an HSE in AUS.
