Square Exhaust Tip Bumper Trim for D4
Hi All,
I have seen a few D3s with the square bumper trim fitted, and I wondered if:
- The same kit would fit the D4
- Is there something similar available for the D4 specifically
The kit I refer to is this one:
I can find a few sellers doing the D3 kit, but wondering if it fits a D4....

Well, it seems the D3 rear kit won't fit on a D4 according to Nene Overland.
Will keep looking for an alternative I guess, unless anyone learned person can point me in the right direction.....

They look a bit daft, can stain and reduce access to the tow point. The 'do nothing' option can be quite appealing but I appreciate that a few think that dressing the D3 / D4 in a skirt looks ok.

Fair play, horses for courses and all.
I just think the rear of the D4 is lacking a bit of oomph, and the exhaust make it look a bit meatier. Maybe looking for other options directly related to the exhaust rather than a skirt would be better.
Advice is again humbly appreciated.

The tailpipes bit is always a "marmite" topic, but I also felt like both the D3 and D4 lacked something, so had exhaust trims on both of my D3's, but the D4 has slightly larger diameter tailpipes (65mm), so it took me a while to find these, fitted to my D4 (a couple more pics in my gallery):

They are quite chunky (approx 90mm Dia), and need a touch trimming from the bumper.
I got them from Custom Chrome in Nuneaton.

The shape of the bumper of D3 and D4 are identical I believe. So shape wise it should fit.
The exhausts are the same as well but you need to fit the additional exhaust trims none the less. So that should fit as well.
Other mounting points could be diiferent but that can be overcome if you are a bit handy I assume.
I have a PDF mounting instruction if you want. You can have a look at that to see what you need.
PM me your email address and I will get it over if you want.CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

D4 exhaust is a bigger diameter tailpipe than D3. I know as my D3 trims wouldnt fit my D4.

Thanks all for the input, especially Renton, who I spoke with on Thursday to discuss in more detail. Very kind of him to call me!
I am now thinking that I might just look into some custom tail pipes, but see if I can get them rectangular, then fit them close to the bumper to make them look OEM. It might even be the case that the bumper needs to be trimmed a little to get them to fit.
Not exactly like this, but maybe something similar with simpler tail pipes (its a shame startech didn't release this bumper).

Any thoughts or advice?

Yup, I got another rear bumper and used the top of original and the bottom off the other, got them joined together, did not do it myself I got it done in a body shop but was not that expensive, with the plan for stainless exhaust in time as they are just end peices 😊😊
