D4 sat nav updates
My 2012my D4 HSE's satnav is clearly out of date when it comes to a lot of the roads around here that have been altered. I have also noticed this to be the case as I travel around the country.
LR want £250 to update it which is plain silly money. Does anyone know of a cheaper but equally reliable update?2017 Discovery Sport HSE, Firenze Red

So far it appears to be a dealer only update individually coded to your VIN. As it happens the price you have above is easily the cheapest I have seen. Perhaps labour is on top?

Found this site www.navigation.com/landrover which lists the update via usb stick for my D4 for £171 - still a ridiculous price though!2017 Discovery Sport HSE, Firenze Red

Yes, it worked for me. That was over a year ago though MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Thanks for all the replies and especially the tip for getting 10% off! Still makes it very expensive compared to a Garmin with lifetime updates but I prefer not to have the cables dangling! Will have to think about it.2017 Discovery Sport HSE, Firenze Red

Even if you do go that route (pun intended) it will still be about 7 years out of date.
Just get an android tablet and suitable bracket..

2010-2011 denso system have always been dealer only.
Upgrade is via firewire
