Just had mine done, use a local garage and he is good with Landover...he emphasised the need to use a genuine part for the timing belts (I did front and back) |Interestingly, the genuine part was about the same price as a pattern part from a motor factor. All to do with warranties on the part fitted.....Ga

Dayco are good, dont forget to do the two idler pulleys as well.
Also do some searching on the oil pump casting failure.

Thanks guys,
Found a pool of oil under the jeep yesterday morning, got my mechanic mate to have a look, topped with oil and started up, pouring out from the sump hole.
Brought it to his garage, he's going to take fan, etc off this eve to check where oil is coming from, he is suspecting the crank seal, is this common ???
I'm awaiting for hopefully not so bad news this eve , but will change timing belt and tensioner while in the garage.
Will update after this eve...

Hi, can anyone give an indication why the crank seal should push out and leak the oil ?
Is there another check i should do before replacing and putting on new timing belt ?
Thanks
