Abs sensor

I have an ABS speed sensor on order,my question is, how difficult is it to fit ?
The hub end looks easy enough,it's the other end that plugs in under the dreaded black covers I've never seen .
Any hints and tips are greatly appreciated

Very easy to fit just pop a few plastic fasteners off the inside wheel arch cover and you can then get to the plug and socket underneath there.

Piece of cake. Takes 20 mins. Thumbs Up

One bolt into the hub, clipped into the brake flexi all the way up, and 1 connector behind the plastic cover

Yes you just pull the center bit out first then the locking collar.

Thanks for your help, took me about half an hour to have a good look, remove the old one and replace the new one.Very easy and straight forward.
Still got a dash full of lights and no programs.I'll search for faults later and see what the codes are

Read the fault codes today and got this
Vehicle Dynamic

C1A94-13 (0B) Front right wheel speed sensor circuit - General electrical failure - circuit open

I replaced the sensor so does this mean there is a bad wire somewhere in the wheel arch where it plugs in,and would I be right in thinking this is why it's still showing P brake fault and all the body control faults

Thanks. John

It is 2 wires between the ABS module, and the connector behind the arch liner Thumbs Up

You need to get hold of the wiring diagram, and pin numbers, and check continuity.

Before we get to that though, what brand of sensor did you fit?

Bosch is OEM, that's all I would fit. Never had an issue with them Thumbs Up

Looks like a wiring issue then

I have one from an RRS, which should be the same (if you are struggling to find one for a D3)
