Off to Scotland Tomorrow (Argyll) for 1 week
After doing the Isle of Skye last year, we decided to return to Scotland, but this time SWMBO wanted something a little closer to civilisation, so I think we'll be about 1.5hrs drive from Glasgow.
Staying in a gottage in Tighnabruaich, overlooking the Kyles of Bute, so really looking forward to it
Any ideas, of good long walks, day trips etc around the area? (Taking the kids and Springer as well)Iggy/Ieuan

You might bump into HESS who resides there so look out for a D3 driving about.
Portavadie marine does a cracking meal which is just a few miles away, but can be expensive and while at Portavadie you can take the ferry across to Tarbert for the day.
Plenty of places to go too.D3 TDV6 S MY2005

just seen your going from Weston...think Glasgow will take you about 8 hours....depends which way you go from there ...Lomond and rest and be thankful will prob do 90 minutes if rest and be thankful is OPEN ie no landslides...another way would be Greenock...get on ferry to dunnoon...if you take the back road out of duunnoon its more or less direct to location...20 miles or so...single track some of it but direct
