Off road insurance..,

My current insurance company has decided that if I add a winch and snorkel, they will only continue to insure me for normal road use IF I can provide evidence that I have separate off road insurance that ONLY covers off road use.

So, without wishing to invoke a flurry of observations about how ridiculous that is, does anyone know if there is a company that can offer me such a policy? I will be driving off road only very very occasionally and really I only need the policy to satisfy my existing insurance company's demand!

Any ideas?!

I'm with the NFU Thumbs Up Certainly not cheap Big Cry Completely faultless service Thumbs Up

I have aftermarket wheels - NFU don't care and haven't loaded my premium Thumbs Up
I'm a farmer (well, mostly) so spend a lot of time off-road and towing. All covered by NFU Thumbs Up

NFU can be contacted by phone 24 / 7 and make life real easy when you buy / change vehicles. To make it simple they just tag the new vehicle onto your existing policy and charge you pro-rata for the number of days you have two on the same policy.

Big up side is they have an office you can go to if you have problems
Down side is the cost - I pay in excess of £500 per year (full NCB) but it's full business use for me and my wife inc' her work. I also still get the third party cover for other vehicles which I believe many are trying to stop now.

Try adrian flux they cover off road as well (or at least green lanes - I checked before taking out a policy with them) Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders
