I use a Dyson vacuum and upholstry cleaner - the advantages of having carpet mats Wink

Not so advantageous when off roading through the mud though, I imagine... Rolling Eyes

Jet wash, sponge and autoglym shampoo, then a quick spray of silicon (that's what's used to release them from the machining, hence the water beading on them when new). Good as new every time.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I once looked after a guy who caused a massive accident - he 'fessed up he had just cleaned the pedals with some tyre stuff - wanted to know if he should tell the police !!!

I just jet wash mine and dry on the lawn for 5 mins

DG - I did wonder about starting this thread, thought it might be a bit poncy but then I thought it won't harm my street cred down the pub as no one knows who I am so what the heck! Pleased to see it's running to 2 pages so far Thumbs Up

Love the one about rubbing down with baby wipes Rolling with laughter

I lost a bit of wheel arch (Rubber) trim of my year 2000 Disco 2 and replaced it with a new bit. I spoke to the guys at Autoland in Houghton Regis and said that the new bit would look too new compared to the old bits. They recommended Autoglym bumper care and within an hour all my trim looked fantastic. It is good for anything including rubber mats, door sills, mirror backs etc and is not slippery like tyre shine or silicone.
it's not cheap but it's bloody effective on anything black. Careful what you say and think now. Bernard Manning is dead and only he could say what you are thinking!!!

As for the knob that put tyre shine on the pedals, he's lucky to still be in the gene pool! I knew someone that put tyre shine on his motorbike tyres. They looked really great but the first corner he got to turned into an adventure! Very Happy
