NEWBIE D3 HSE owner - specialist or main dealer servicing? |
|
Purchased my first disco 3 (2008 HSE) this week and it's due the cambelt change this year. I would like to maintain the service schedule and ensure everything is done when/as it should be.
I'm looking for any garage recommendations in / around the Bristol area please.
My local main dealer is Guy Salmon Bristol however I'm sure there are some good specialists out there...
Thanks

If the service history is Main Dealer then it might be worth keeping up with that because if anything really bad happens you stand a better chance of getting favorable treatment from LR. If not then a good indie is probably a better bet and usually (but not always) cheaper, eg Statstones do a pretty good deal on the cambelt service. It's probably a good idea to change the oil pump at the same time as the cambelt, but most Main Dealers will deny all knowledge of any problems with it. Sorry I can't recommend anyone because I'm from up north!

SHould of asked today Lee.
I used to use Guy Salmon, when mine was in warranty but after that I used Steve Norman, based in Shepton or Steve Hill in Brislington. Both are very knowledgeable and good HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE
