What a dipstick !
Checking the oil on the D3 i find the dipstick is not the best of dipsticks for checking it and can seem to tell how far my oil really is even when cold , might just be me being over cautious and a numpty question but any one else think same and is there any other easy way to know where its at ?

739 posts and member since 2009 is this the first time you've checked the oil?
It is a crappy design, I find the best way is to remove and swipe a few times before taking a reading.IID PRO

Is your dipstick bent and folded on itself a little bit?
Mine is and it makes for getting an accurate reading near impossible.

Go to Specsavers It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
