powerfold mirror not working

Hi I've searched but cant find an answer so sorry if this has been dealt with before.
My powerfold mirrors whilst I can adjust the glass up down in out and mirror moves to new setting when memory seat changed. However when I put switch in centre position and press down I hear a whir and mirrors twitch about 1mm but dont move in fully and if I press down again same whir and move out 1 mm ? Any help on where to look much appreciated Bow down

I recently wrote about this, as I have the latest mirrors fitted and had a problem, the D3 has what looks like a relay but is a full PCB control board in the lower glovebox side area, brown and tall looking.

this if it sees to high a motor load amp thinks it has already folded the mirrors , or as I had didn't see the amp and then burnt both the motors in each mirror out!!!!!

so you could try a new relay but I would also with some silicone spray lubricant same as you would use on the drop window glass in the doors, and spray and help the mirrors fold in and out if they have not done so in a while.

I've had this before but whether it's the same as you I can't say.

Mine was caused by someone manually folding the mirror back too far before trying to move it into place again but it wasn't moved back enough and didn't 'engage' with something.

A quick jiggle and I heard it click and it was fine again.
 I see no ships........
