What a dipstick !

Checking the oil on the D3 i find the dipstick is not the best of dipsticks for checking it and can seem to tell how far my oil really is even when cold , might just be me being over cautious and a numpty question but any one else think same and is there any other easy way to know where its at ?

739 posts and member since 2009 is this the first time you've checked the oil? Rolling with laughter

It is a crappy design, I find the best way is to remove and swipe a few times before taking a reading.

I haven't even once checked the oil level and I have more than 739 posts.
Is this some kind of record?

Is your dipstick bent and folded on itself a little bit?
Mine is and it makes for getting an accurate reading near impossible.
I can't find a part number to order a new one...
