EGR Valve - Error Light - Solution/Thoughts -2 stroke |
|
Hi,
New to the forum, but have been using the knowledge and articles which have been great.
However, the reason for the post is I blanked the EGR valve, subsequently it threw an error on the dash which corresponds to the EGR being blanked. Since then, I have been using two stroke oil in the tank, after a hundred miles or so, the error disappeared. To test this, I filled the tank again, but without adding the two stroke, once again, a hundred miles or so, the error light appeared. I've tested this four times now, with standard fuel and two stroke added alternating between tanks.
In summary, the two stroke added, must produce a similar exhaust gas for the sensor to pick up?
Hope this helps someone or is food for thought.
