Just fitted mine this afternoon - one hour it took and a slightly sloppy soldering job from yours truly; but, what an amazing piece of kit. Haven't fitted the LED yet to monitor but all worked perfectly as advertised. Thanks Discostick, a clever man you are. My timing is out with the warmer weather on its way but it'll be perfect for winter in Scotland in 7/8 months time!'89 Defender 110 (now at the drive-thru in the sky)

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Discostick for this brilliant piece of kit
Received 3 days after payment, and fitted yesterday
Very easy fit due to very clear instruction booklet that came with it. Working brilliantly to the point that this morning as it was only 1 degree and my glowplugs have given up, I fired up the FBH from the house then went to have a shower, 5 minutes later frantic ringing of my door bell
Jumped out of the shower and answered the door to my next door neighbour who said "...I was cleaning my car and suddenly your car lights flashed, then it started beeping and now there is heaps of smoke coming from your engine, and I think it may be about to blow up!!!!!"
Then spent 10 minutes explaining what a FBH was and how I can control it from the house, much to his relief I think The difference between genius and stupidity is; genius has its limits...

The instruction booklet that comes with the kit is worthy of praise in its own right. Very comprehensive and clearly produced with a great deal of thought for the end user.

Mine works intermitent now. When car left over night and I flash lights for 1-2 sec I hear confirmation sound, then 5 short beeps and then a bit later long beep which confirms stop. Everyting happens in about 30sec. Heater fan works about minute but heater does't start. Today i heard long beep after 2min drive, radio was off and beep was on the move.
FBH was dissasembled earlier, cleaned all carbon there and new plug/heater element installed. FBH it self works very nice, no big white smoke even on startup, pure transparent smoke and heat grom FBH exhaust when control module power dissconected, tested for long time. No DTC with or without your remote control module. Battery good condition.
Could it be ignition or headlight wire to module?
Sometimes FBH starts with 3rd button on key, heats coolant till 75C.Discovery 3 TDV8 3.6 facelifted to MY14

It could be a poor connection in the 8 pin plug on the Webasto.
Make sure the wires are well pushed in.
If I remember correctly you should get a voltage on all but the black and one of the fuel pump wires.
What fuel pump did you use on the bench when testing?

No red light on the module when it does this ?
The fact its giving all the beeps to confirm starting and a long stop tone, the module is intentionally stopping the heater by the sounds of it.
Il have a look at what might cause this for you.New Engine - Fitted with body on...
