Cutting the wires will send the system into an absolute snit... just use some rubber (butyl) tape or self amalgamating tape over the sensor, the density of the rubber prevents any reflections. The centre pair can be zip-tied to the loom behind the bumper leaving the corner ones still working but with a reduced operating arc due to the way the system works

What kind of winch is it.
