I brought a cheap portable one from Aldi about 3 years ago. only a single LNB, but has worked fine even down to the Dordogne. It needs a bit of care to align, as its such a small dish, but once locked on its OK.

i saw a maxview Cube, when i was away at the end of October this year
He just had it stood up on the roof of his caravan and i asked him what it was, he told me and said he had no issues whatsoever with it and was really pleased with it.
Though I wish I asked him how it was in high wind, as i wouldn't want £700 of dish rolling around on my roof if it blew over, though I suppose i would be just as good on the ground, chained to the A Frame

Like you I use exactly the same set up which I already had knocking about spare, all I bought was a good quality Maxview satellite tripod stand from Maplins for around £60/70 - very cheap option and works perfectly well everywhere, and let's face it how often do you watch telly anyway when your away in the van On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

I've had a vuqube for 3 years now and can honestly say it's the best kit I've bought for my caravan. It's been all over france, Germany and Luxembourg and never missed a beat. Twin lnb for full HD. I run two sky boxes off mine.
It will work on the floor or even on a slope as its self levelling. It has a security loop to fasten it down if you so wish.

I bought one of these . Can I get it to work ? Nope You're not afraid of the dark are you ?
I bought one of these about five years ago, just open one of the Heiki's and put it on the roof, press the button, it finds the satellite job done, finds the satellite in less than a minute.

Iv'e had a manual system for about 9yrs and had no problems with setting up by just using a compass. A van turned up on site last weekend with one of the portable systems and he just stuck it onto the roof through the skylight and that was it......want one like the idea of getting extra height because some of the sites we go to have got hedges in the way and I struggle a bit getting a signal using the dish on a tripod. The other van was using a Avtex dish and it held onto the roof really well even with a strong wind
Only bought ours as we were going to get the Camos Dome, but at the time there was none around, after three months of waiting looked at the Papsa, to be honest though we don't use it that much now, with the later Status Aerials we never seem to have much trouble in getting a good picture. Still take it with us just incase.

I use he traffic light led on the LNB makes setting up a doddle but was told that since the change in footprint my dish isn't man enough to work in France other than the very northern part. I'm told you need a 2m dish if you want Eastenders in Italy!!!

Hi. We've got a TravelVision R6. It's EXCELLENT.
we've got a 65cm version. Works really well and have a twin LNB on the end of it so can share it with Inlaws or dad if they 'van with us too.
