A mate with a Range Rover is coming round first thing. I'll be up at first light to dig some channels, line them with gravel and straw, and to hope it all works!

If your mate has a long (strong enough) rope and is on good ground, forget about the straw and gravel, put the suspension on high and follow him in reverse from the direction you entered, at least you know what that ground was like, going forward is unknown territory and could be worse than that you are in.

Thanks for all the offers. Much appreciated. We'll give it a go first thing As I need the car. If I can't get it out then rest assured I'll be back on here! One way or another, some pictures should be forthcoming for general amusement!

Ok. I'm up. Turns out it's pitch black at this time in the morning,

What's the best Terrain Response setting for this, please ?

I would have thought mud and ruts, and suspension up and low range 2nd gear.
Remember a video!!!!

Best of luck out there gesmi!

I wouldn't use low range as this may dig deeper. High range, second, suspension to high and keep a gentle but steady throttle. don't forget that the wheels will have to spin for a while till the electronics kick in.

BTW, what time is that movie with the fellow LR forum member stuck in mud premier??? Laughing Laughing Laughing

@DiscoJake: Love that icon there Jake! Very Happy
