Broken my rear windscreen

Sigh! Not the best start to a day, I reversed into a tree branch that deflected down off the high-level brake light and caused the rear windscreen to shatter. There's not a mark on the paintwork, it seems to have gotten in between the screen and the tailgate frame which made it go pop! Big Cry

Autoglass are on the case (via my insurers), but can't fit it until Monday. There's plenty of threads on here about front-windscreen replacement, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips or notes on having the rear done?

Need to let them know if you have privacy glass, if you don't, you may wish to tell them you do Wink then get the sides done Smile

Yep, they asked about that - think the tint is the only thing holding the screen together at the moment.

It should be a straightforward replacement - a new one re-bonded in.
But I noticed a few weeks after getting mine done (for a supposed water leak) that the high-level brake light was broken - maybe by the fitter, maybe something else. To the dealer's credit (Taggarts Motherwell), they replaced it without a quibble when I showed them.
So check that all the bits around the window for their condition before-and-after the fit.
