hi mick, I haven't, however i've read that other people have had issues with the filter housing and end up replacing it. Does this sound like it?

I get the message every now and again. Have concluded that I need to replace the filter housing although the performance is never actually restricted (its just seems to be a pointless message) and the error usually clears with an ignition cycle or I clear the fault with IID tool.
Have been living with it for about 6 months and in that time has happened about five or six times.
I'll get round to doing it at some point but as it doesn't seem to affect anything else am in no rush to get the job done.
It does make me wonder if there is actually anything wrong or whether it is just some spurious message to make you spend money at the stealers.

A year or so ago I had that message come up when I first started the car. Having had the same message and turbo problems with a D3 (when performance was restricted!), I called LRA (as the car was still under extended warranty). When the chap came, he drove it around the block, and in no way was performance restricted! However, the fault was traced to a faulty MAF which was duly replaced.
