Cruise Control Cutting Out

Had a similar problem 6 months into my 2006 D3. Thankfully, the problem was logged by one of the on-board black boxes resulting in the Slip Ring (which provides electrical contact with the Steering Wheel mounted buttons) being replaced.

Thanks JohnD, that gives me a clue to where my problem might lay with not being able to resume cruise after cancelling'Smile'

Don't forget the brake pedal. Activation of the brake light switch will also cancel CC. If a bump in the road is enough to bounce the brake pedal, that might do it. I've found you hardly have to touch the brakes to trip it off, don't even have to start braking!
