Anyone else had this?
Got a replacement windscreen fitted last week, no issues with it and no leaks, plus the rain and light sensors are still working.
Fitter did mention that above the drivers visor area on the outside, there was a large patch of rust.
It wasn't visible from outside with the windscreen rubber in place but it was under it.
It's only a localised patch of a couple of inches but still puzzled how it's been done.
Another thing for next years bodyshop visit to treat..

Rust is one reason why I haven't owned a Discovery until recently. Mine has some rust in the floor above the rear diff and the middle body mounts too. Obviously these will be treated once the weather improves.
Treat your rust quickly to avoid problems later.
Oddly non of my Freelanders I've had in the past have had any rust problems at all. The problem appears to be confined to Discovery/ Defender models. Freelander SE 2005 Auto.
D3 TDV6. Gone.

Mine has some surface rust in those areas as well.
Will get a proper treatment next year to get it solid and then treated to protect it.
