Few odd faults !

Hi folks

Can someone explain the couple of odd faults that keep coming and going on my 2007 D3

1. The steering wheel buttons like to change what they do!!! I.e - press the volume control button and the phone starts to redial!!!
2- press mode and the 'voice' start giving the the helpful phone instructions
Then I'll get in the car another time and none will work at all or they will be fine!!

Second fault - got in it the other night everything was fine went but went to pull off and there was no power! It was like it was trying to pull off in fifth!!! It's an Auto.
Switched it off and on again bad it was fine - run a scanner through and came back as all fine :/

Any ideas?

And last but not least I have a sticky rear caliper, where's the best replacement or kit for rebuilding then.

Cheer for any help

Craig

1. Clock spring faulty. Its the rotary connector behind the airbag.
2. Sounds like a stuck EGR, but not sure.

Yep, clockspring or steering wheel loom.

Does sound like an EGR issue and perhaps the scanner is not optimised for LR. For rear calliper try giving it a good clean, grease the sliders with copper grease and re-grease the pins with silicone. Only then consider spending money on a calliper.

Should you need a new calliper then contact Steve at Advanced Factors (sponsor).

Cheers Gents I didn't know about the clock spring fault but having looked into it it's quite common Shocked

I think for both I'm going to go the warranty route (still under warranty only had it 12weeks)
