Lack of power under 2000rpm
I have recently bought a 2007 disco 3 GS LIMITED EDITION .
As soon as I bought the car I noticed it was very sluggish at low revs , but I thot it was just needing remapped. I got it remapped and still the same , had Landrover technicians at it . Cut a long story short I've spent £1500 on it
Replaced EGR valves
Fuel filter housing and filter , had the engine terra-cleaned ,as it's only done 55000 easy miles , 2 extremely carefull oap owners .
I am at the end of my patience with this as no one seems to know the problem cause.
Once you get near 2000rpm the car takes of as it should , just under its slow as hell
Please help me sort this as I love my disco

Have you checked the map sensor? Carbon buildup from the EGRs can block the opening.

I'm cleaning my MAP sensor tomorrow as I was told I might experience the same problem as I have a suspected turbo fault, I'll report back tomorrow

Could be a sticky turbo actuator rod... easy enough to free off once you can see it, I'm sure some ones made a guide or posted up some pictures on here... also if it's been pootled about in by the previous owners the cat could be partially blocked...Admin on Facebook Discovery 3 & 4 Ownersgroup

I'd try an Italian tune-up first - especially if it's had a couple of careful owners - take it for a 1/2 hour thrash!
