When I start up the car after it was standing for couple hours and first time I put the transmission from P to R, and from R to D the car starts to creep forward, as it should do, but 2-3 second later it sudenly jerks one time and starts to creep again. Any other gear change is very smooth and first P to R shift also smooth, no jerk in reverse. This is only happens half of the time, sometimes there is a jerk, sometimes not.
I would appreciate any feedback, I am planning to take my car for the first service next week.

I think you are describing a sudden drop in engine revs. Mine does this every morning, when I reverse out of the driveway. The engine seems to momentarily falter, and soemtimes the alternator warning light briefly flashes.
It has always done this, and my dealer cannot tell me that anything is wrong. If I switch the air conditioning off, then it does not do it to the same extent. So I think it is the idle speed control of the diesel engine that causes it.
My theory is don't worry. It will only cause you stress 8)

Thanks, but my problem is the opposit, the car jerks forward (like a small jump), I think, that some little valve in the transmission gets stuck, when the oil is still cold, but who knows.....

AN what is the temperature in Hungary at the moment?

Brian,
It is around 20-25 C degree, it is warm, "cold oil" was a relative term vs. usual transmission oil temp., which I assume is around 60-70 C degree.

Your transmission does sound a little odd as if there is play somewhere in the drive. It may just be a simple adjustment during service.
