road side assistance
My D4 is three years old at end of month. I am looking at the various offerings available for roadside breakdown assistance.
LR Assist seems a bit pricey at £150. Comparisons are Green Flag (via Caravan Club) £97; CSMA £58.50. Real exact comparisons are nigh on impossible to make so will be pleased to have any views or comments. Do you think there is any advantage by having extended warranty and roadside assistance from the same company?

I use autoaid breakdown. I have not actually had to use them myself but most reviews seem favorable.

Under the extended warranty, the optional Land Rover Assistance is provided by the AA.
So I don't think you get a Land Rover techie in his D4/ van and laptop to read codes and try & fix it, as you would under the normal 3 year warranty.
With the LRA (AA) you get:
* Home and roadside assistance
* Recovery of your vehicle to the nearest Approved Land Rover Service Centre
* Replacement vehicle and travel benefits such as hotel accommodation
So if you can get this cheaper from the AA itself, or others, then all the better.

Actually looking for both, but have decided on LR Extended Warranty based on previous very satisfactory experience. Road side assistance seems to vary greatly. LR assist includes European cover but only for 30 days in one bite (90 days in total). For European Cover I use Caravan Club. They offer MayDay cover (Green Flag) for £97 and it seems as good as LR. Just really wondering if a link between the two (i.e the same supplier) is a good political move. Avoids the possibility of "bouncing" the blame around?
