Luckily the 18s don't have the white writing at all!
Also, General are bringing out a 17" tyre that's more suitable for the D3 - 265/65/R17 which has a higher speed rating (still not to the LR min though), and, wait for it, NO white writing! If anyone with 17s is looking for AT2s,, then try enquiring about the new size - they weren't available a month ago but should be soon. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!

What price are the 18" AT2's ?
And are the mileage (wear) benefits over a Wrangler big or not worth worrying about ?

They seem to be around £125 each for a set of 4 including fitting and balancing if you get a good deal.
I got 6 for £599 + vat.
Don't know what the wear rate is like, and I won't either for a good while, as I'm running on my 19s with Scorpions for the summer months (other than when going to an offroad event), as I don't see the point in wearing out the AT2s on the road when I don't have to go anywhere muddy in the summer (winter is a different case - lots of wet grassy hills which used to be fun with road tyres). IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!

They are a different size to D3 (235 / 85 /16), but I just got 6 x GG AT2 including new wheels, for £660 from Nene, for my S2a.

Seems very low that for such an aggressive tyre.

I'm about to buy 18inch AT2s and I have been quoted £114 per tyre all inclusive . I also had a chat with a friend today who wants a set, say may even get them cheaper. Will find out Tuesday, as I need to get them sorted next week. If anyone else in the South East England is interested in a set, PM me, could be a group buy. I have spoken with my local tyre dealer and for 8 tyres he will do the Gen Grabber AT2s 255/60/18 for £112 each all inclusive.
It's the cheapest I could find anywhere. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

No, i'm getting a set for my mate as well.....
Although you've probably tempted fate now
I had a puncture on the D3 2 days after I picked her up so who knows...... The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

On the subject of wear, I've had mine on for 9,000 miles now and I don't expect to be changing them for another 20,000 or so. Very good wear characteristics, just not quite as good as a MTR/STT in the gloop as they don't flex and shed enough unless you drop the pressures offroad. May well stick with these as my everyday tyre and next year get some STTs for offroad days. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
