scratched windsceen
Chaps, some advise if you may,
Whilst driving along the M6 on Wednesday evening in very heavy rain, the passenger side wiper decided to detach itself from the wiper arm, by the time I managed to find somewhere safe to stop, the metal arm had scratched a moon shape line in my screen ........Question, is there anything on the market, apart from a new screen that is, that will remove the scratch ? I think I may already know the answer

It totally depends on the severity of the scratch but without seeing it and like I always do when this crops up, I will suggest using Brasso.
Rub like a teenager watching a Kim Kardashian lingerie promo video, (or Discotres waiting for the next Apple release ) and keep your pad wet ( ) and you'll be amazed at the results. Brasso is super abrasive so don't rub too locally, spread the blending or risk a lense effect.

Chances are if you have an arc scratch from a wiper you will not polish it out without getting distortion on the screen which could be dangerous claim on the windscreen insurance and chalk it up to one of those things.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

interesting, i have got some very light arc scratches on my rear screen from the wiper (where the metal prongs grab the rubber). it looks like there has been grit on the screen when the wiper was used? i will try the brasso suggestion first and see what happens
