super duper silicon hoses
Wow not even 1 year old and this is an silicon intercooler hose burst 80quid down the drain would have been better replaced with an original

Wow !That is a surprise, I would have expected it to last at least as long as an original if not longer, where did it come from if you can say?

If from a site sponsor any guarantee D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.

I fitted Samco Sport kit to my D3 when I first bought it, have a set on the D2 5 years now and they are as good as new, so I guess the set on the D3 will last as long as I have the D3.
Think the Samco Sport hoses come with a lifetime guarantee but I'm not 100% sure.Dale

It could be a cheap made hose, because it's silcone and blue doesn't mean it's any good.

It may be due to the split but that hose looks distorted and not right. It also does not look like a proper silicon hose looks off colour and not a regular colour throughout, again may be down to the split.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

The hoses came from first four they are only 11 months old as I remember I ordered a Dr cat pipe as well and the mots changed so I cancelled it and changed it for a service kit instead ( sure the mots changed about Feb for decats failing the test)tinted windows

Any idea what the manufacturer was, Britpart/Bearmach etc?
I am running Bearmach hoses on mine, even with its 2.5bar of boost, have never had an issueMy D3 Build Thread
Polyester Re informed silicone hose comes from the late 80's....GE were the original innovators of these
I used them to replace all the coolant hose on a Volvo B27 engine (the Douvrin made Volvo/Renault/Peugeot composite engine...also used by De Lorean, Citroen & Lancia...maybe others)
The hoses for the coolant pump (six in total) were a nightmare to live with (leaks & difficult to install easily)
I got mine from one of the original makers who were the ones who innovated the process of manufacture...
I also used these in the plant where I worked for transferring heated de mineralised & de ionised water...also a nightmare to do without detrimental effects & contamination.
Usually if you look at the section you should see two layers of polyester at 1/3 positions...my experiences are if fitted even badly (twist & skewered with hose clip spiking (which some makes of hose clip do naturally) are they are (usually) far better than OEM single re enforcement nitrile ones.
....the ones that went omit my Volvo "worked" & when parts removed for other repairs incredibly you couldn't even see where the hoses had been (Silicon's memory)....
I would be very dubious of low cost hoses..it just isn't "because its blue" makes it invincibleBREXIT - done properly.

Where is the best place to get these from im looking for the short turbo one and shorter of the two intercooler pipe I found paddocks are doing them anyone used them.
