I don't think that is true, as the factory remote for the FBH in a D4/RRS uses the WBUS to talk to it. So the WBUS line exists.
If you want to ship the VEVO to me I can put it on my FBH rig and try and communicate/fire it up if you are struggling. This would also allow me to give you a definitive wiring diagram, although I still believe it should be wired the same as a D3 FBH (ThermoTop V). 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

isnt this software dependent on whats installed in the fbh? On a freelander 2 you need to update the software on the fbh to be able to run it as parking heater. I think Alex have done loads of research on this subject. But i might be wrong.

Mr P
Thank you for your contribution.
Martin
If looking at the wiring diagram I have sent does not show anything new then sending you the FBH may at least find the problem if not get it going.

Hello
I installed a webasto parking heater and its capable of turning the car blower fan on to warm the car before I get in. However I’m not sure where to wire up fan to the Webasto unit. Will appreciate your help. Thank you.

Welcome!
Introduction would be nice first, so we know what LR you have....
without that it is impossible to give good advice regarding fitting and future other questions
Tip: update your profile, so we can see it Best regards

A webasto? Which one? There are countless versions around... some work in other cars, most of them don’t.... Best regards

Look for D3 installation here:
Incl the Webasto parts you need.. (official way)
https://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/us...motopv.pdf
There are aftermarket solutions, who do the same, but not “always“ cheaper if you take the blowers into account.. Best regards

Hello
Apologies. I have been on this forum for a while. Don’t own a D3 yet. But I own a Freelander 2. I am from the UK. The UK versions are not fitted with the webasto unit. The Webasto unit I installed is Thermo V. The doner car is D3.
I managed to installed it and use it as a parking heater with telestart t91 and T91 Remote.
However, I am under the impression that pin 8 of the webasto plug connector is capable of becoming live when the webasto unit gets to 50 degrees and can power up the cabin fan.
Only problem is, I’m not sure where to hook the cable to start the cabin fan when the webasto gets to 50 degrees
I’m thinking of hooking it up to the climate control fuse( biggy back it) as the climate control comes on when ignition is on.
Thank you for the reply and apologies once again for lack of information.
Stay safe.

Ok... but sorry, how can we know that for a Freelander on a D3 forum?
That is freelander specific maybe even sub model specific...(manual aircon or automatic aircon differ also) Best regards

Hello,
I already asked on the Freelander Forum. But didn’t get a specific answer. I thought someone with Knowledge will be able to know since basics of HVAC is Almost the same for every car and also just to confirm if the Webasto is capable of powering the fan.
Maybe someone has done it before on the forum.
Thanks for your time and effort.
Peace

I did sent you The link to the workshop of how it is done on the D3 isn’t it?
If you think your freelander works the same as the D3, be my guest and use that...
Most of the more modern Fully automatic Aircon units needing a IPCU To connect...And make it work.. pin outs is car specific..
I had a thermotop V out of a D3 mounted in a D2.... both the clock and the waterpump signal can be used to trigger a relais, who activates the blower...
But what is regarding aircon panel in your freelander (like the D2 one or the D3 one, they are for sure NOT the same! D3 NEEDS a IPCU , D2 NOT) is for you to find out.... not common D3 owners knowledge..
AND, a webasto ThermoTop V out of a LR has different software than a universal ThermoTop V, pin outs differ, functions differ.. Best regards

I’m not aware there is an output signal at 50 deg.
All that add on seams to do is run the fan at a moderate speed.
